From boating and fishing to hiking and camping, there’s no shortage of natural adventures around every corner. Explore nature trails at Tunica Hills, adventure through one of BREC's many parks and trails, kayak or canoe on one of the city's scenic blueways, or take a quiet walk on the levee.
Active Groups & Clubs
Meet up with like-minded fitness enthusiasts and hobbyists at any of the countless clubs in the city. If you're a runner, there's Happy's Running Club downtown or the Varsity Sports Running Club on Perkins. Get peddlin' with the Baton Rouge Bike Club, or join a BREC recreational sports league for any game, age, and experience level. Curious about croquet? The Red Stick Croquet Club plays at the City-Brooks Community Park Croquet Court every Wednesday and Saturday.
