Memorial Park has been a beloved gathering place for BatonRouge residents for generations. Now, it’s time to revitalize this historicpark and make it an even more vibrant hub for the community. The Memorial Parkredevelopment project is a comprehensive plan to transform the park into aworld-class destination for sports, recreation, and entertainment. The proposedproject could include a variety of new amenities, such as: state-of-the-artindoor and outdoor sports facilities, a multi-purpose event center, retailspace and restaurants, walking and biking trails, and community gardens andgreen space.

Revitalized Sports Complex

The centerpiece of the Memorial Park redevelopment would be a new state-of-the-art sports complex. The complex would include facilities for a variety of sports, such as basketball, baseball, soccer, and tennis. The complex would also be able to host tournaments and other sporting events.

Multi-Purpose Event Center

A new multi-purpose event center was also proposed. It would be a versatile space used for a variety of events, such as concerts, conventions, and trade shows. The event center would be a valuable asset for the Baton Rouge community and will help to attract new visitors to the region.
